The Tallahassee Southside Kiwanis Club accepts  request for collaboration on various community service projects and fundraising projects throughout the Tallahassee community. Our club members volunteer endless hours and raise contributions to help numerous projects from the Florida District of Kiwanis Governor projects to local and international affairs as well. Together with our Service Leadership Programs located in various schools in Tallahassee such as Key Club, Builders Club, and K - Kids, other Kiwanis Clubs, and various community partners we cooperate in creating and maintaining sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

AMIkids Tallahassee
Terrific Kids

Our club has partnered with AMIkids Tallahassee to provide behavioral, cultural, and personal enrichment and foster achievement through leadership and mentor-ship with our Terrific Kids rewards program. It is our clubs goal in partnership with AMIkids Tallahassee to separate good kids from a troubled past.


SSF

Our club as an avid supporter of the local residential scholarship housing provider, Southern Scholarship Foundation. We provide toiletries, pantry items, and cooked meals periodically throughout the year benefiting the Florida District Kiwanis house, The Ralph Davis House, which provides housing for college students in Tallahassee who have a notable need for financial assistance. Our club provides  also assists with renting parking spaces at the Southern Scholarship Foundation during home Florida State Football games. 

Greg McCray Boys & Girls

The Greg McCray Boys & Girls Club and the Tallahassee Southside Kiwanis Club are working together to develop community involvement and higher collaboration with mentor-ship and education with our club members, members of our community, and the local university and college staff and students. The Greg McCray Boys & Girls Club provides enrichment programs throughout the year for youth in Tallahassee ages 6-18. Many of the kids are residents on the southside of Tallahassee. The club provides services and programs for well over 225 at risk children with most from less affluent households with the hope to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Our club members currently volunteer during their busy work week schedule working within the Boys & Girls Club's various programs and coordinating with the club director to assist in developing the clubs vision for growing and enhancing its services. 

Ability 1st

Ability 1st is a community-based non profit organization that provides services to persons with varying disabilities. Our club has partnered with Ability 1st to purchase materials and provide man power to build wheelchair ramps in our community to improve accessibility for wheelchair bound pregnant mothers and kids at homes in the Tallahassee community.

Miracle Sports
Aktion Club

The Tallahassee Southside Kiwanis Club has accepted to pledge financial support and volunteer hours to the Florida Disabled Outdoors Association's Miracle Sports Field at Tallahassee's Messer Park. Division 3 Kiwanis Clubs of the Florida District of Kiwanis collaborated with the City of Tallahassee's Parks and Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs, local business and the FDOA to build  a rubberized surface field that allows accessibility to people of all abilities to play a variety of sports without limitations. The park was dedicated in 2008 and has since been a Division 3 project that many of the Kiwanis Clubs collaborate to maintain through funding and service.

Florida High Key Club

The Florida State University School's High School host our club sponsored Key Club. Key Club assists Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels.

Imagine K-Kids
K-Kids

The Tallahassee Southside Kiwanis Club sponsors the Kiwanis Kids (K-Kids) program at Imagine Schools at Evening Rose. K-Kids is a program for elementary school students between the ages of 6 and 12. The club concentrates on lessons of leadership and self-development are introduced through learning to plan, setting goals, working with others, and celebrating successes. The program are broken into three components: service, character education, and academic achievement. K-Kids learn leadership through service and from their peers.

Imagine Schools Builders Club
Builders Club

Our Kiwanis Club sponsors the Builders Club at Imagine Schools and collaborates with them on various projects they develop. Builders Club is an international student-led organization providing members with opportunities to perform service, build character and develop leadership.  Imagine Evening Rose’s Builders Club is open to 7th and 8th grade students who want to make a difference in our community.

EliMiNaTe

As part of Kiwanis International our club has pledged to support, raise awareness, and solicit donations to fight and eliminate neonatal tetanus infections which plague pregnant mothers and causes excruciating painful death among their newborns.The Eliminate Project's fundraising campaign will raise US$110 million by 2015 eliminating Maternal/ Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) from the face of the Earth and protecting some of the world's most vulnerable people. On average, US$1.80 can protect a woman and her future children from MNT. Based on this average, the Kiwanis family's generosity will save and protect millions of mothers and babies. It's a momumental effort to protect one of the most intimate bonds on Earth. Our club is committed to helping to save and protect lives to keep families whole.

Florida District of Kiwanis
The Tallahassee Southside Kiwanis Club provides financial contributions which the club raises throughout the year to benefit our clubs various service projects as well as the Florida Kiwanis Foundation. The Florida Kiwanis Foundation secures funds, bequests, and other suitable and appropriate means and to expend these funds in support of the objectives of the Kiwanis clubs and their sponsored youth organizations in the Florida District of Kiwanis International. Funds that are collected by the foundation support various grants that clubs within the state can petition and request. The Florida Kiwanis Foundation financially supports CKI clubs, Key clubs, Builder’s clubs, K-Kids and Aktion clubs. The foundation also provides seed money for other projects identified by Kiwanis clubs and Kiwanis divisions within the Florida District, including funds for disaster relief.
